LEOMINSTER IN BLOOM WINS GOLD!!!

This year Ashfield House took part in Leominster in bloom. Every year, Leominster in Bloom chooses a theme for it’s annual planting project for the town. The theme could be part of a larger scheme selected by Heart of England in Bloom, to tie in with National events or just the choice of the team. Leominster in Bloom are proactive with the local community as a whole, from gaining fundraising from local businesses to nursing homes decorating their gardens to match the years theme.

Leominster in Bloom have regularly scored high scores since 2003, including receiving many gold and silver gilt awards. All of their hard work was recognised in 2019 when the group received the Queens Award, the group equivalent of an MBE. This award recognises the huge community involvement as well as the commitment to enhancing the town centre. This year they were awarded the gold title again

We are so proud that our residents were able to be part of this and all the displays were stunning.

We will be showing some of our display within the care home for those who did not have an oppurtunity to visit it in the town.
